Life is Better with Shimmer

Lately, I’ve been craving sparkle and shimmer in my wardrobe. Maybe it’s due to the fact that it is the holiday season. So, I’ve  been indulging my sparkly side and purchasing things that have a little more flair than I’m used to, like these shoes. I like oxfords because they are classic and comfortable. I like these oxfords because they  are bedazzled with gold glitter. I’m not the only one crazy about these shoes. One of my coworkers actually threatened to steal my shoes. It took me back to elementary school when bullies would try to rob you of your goods. The difference now is that I’m an adult, stronger and will take her down if she tries anything funny.

ShoeMint

The talented and trendy Rachel Bilson has joined forces with Steve Madden to create ShoeMint. The collection prides itself on its craftsmanship and materials used to create it. By creating a style profile you can find the style that best suits you. Each month you will get an exclusive look at shoes picked for you based on your style profile. I think the textures and styles are perfect for the holiday season. My favorite shoe is the Pauline in wine and black suede (shown above).

For the next day you can receive $20 off your first pair using this code –> SHM20.

There’s something about the holidays that makes me want to get gussied up.

Trial and Error

I adore the movement and shape of a full skirt. If you wear a full skirt you need to balance out the shape of your look with a fitted top. A knit sweater or a button down shirt will work as well, or perhaps a turtleneck. At night you can still rock the full length skirt with a tank or tube top with heels  a shawl or a blazer. Looking at the photos I think this outfit would’ve looked better with heels. Since I’m not that tall I think I look short and the heels would’ve made me appear elongated and given a more polished.  What do you think?

Tis the Season…

I’m stoked to be able to wear boots. I hate initially when the season changes and not knowing what to wear. I battled with whether it was too early to wear boots but I think it’s now time. Some of my favorite styles this season are the worn and weathered, suede (booties) and the sexy over the knee looks. I think it might be a little soon for the thigh highs but there are a lot of choices to wear now.

style.justfab.com  has an amazing plethora of footwear. All shoes and boots are $39.99. You receive 50% off your first purchase. They even have you complete a style IQ test so that they can cater your search for the perfect shoe according to your  personal style.
