Black + Blue

Two fashion trends that I used to not be a fan of 1) stripes and 2)sequins for a daytime look. They have grown on me and I am quite fond of them. Who would’ve thought?

Pick Me Up

2.5.13d

All of my sweater talk as of late may seem as if I’m in a frenzy over this particular article of clothing. The truth is that I like how you can create a variety looks with that one article of clothing. You can opt to layer over, under or wear it sans layers. No matter which way you choose to wear it you get a different look. That’s what I call getting the most bang for your buck! For me a new sweater can be a pick me up for your entire look. As did this cropped sequined garment. I’m already imagining the pairings for its next wear – perhaps a pleated skirt or juxtaposed with leggings and combat boots.

A Little Bling

One of my favorite trends that I’ve seen as of late are the daytime sequined looks. If you don’t mind attracting a little more attention than usual then I would highly suggest including sequins in your wardrobe.

Wear sequins embellished sweaters, hats, bags, or jewelry.  Be sure to only wear one sequined item at a time. Choose sequins in different colors. You don’t have to wear the typical black sequined garb. Also remember to pair sequins with more casual attire so that your look isn’t over the top.
