Tomorrow we’re supposed to get a substantial snowfall. I’m not looking forward to wearing my snow gear. I’m praying that the meteorologists flubbed on their predictions and it won’t be so bad. I think snow is pretty to look at initially and then it becomes a slushy mess. Yuck. Mother Nature has been kind to us so I guess we are overdue for snow. Today, I embraced the clean, visible sidewalks, and overall decent weather by wearing these over the knee brown leather boots and this cute orange and chocolate combination. I wish I got a close up of this top. It’s navy blue and white. It has ruffles going down the front of the shirt but this dress only reveals the ruffles at the top. So cute!

Living In Color
As a girl I loved pink. I was obsessed with everything pink. Wearing it gave me such pleasure. But people began to whisper about us. They were unable to accept what we had. My obsession grew out of control and I had to end my tawdry affair with the color. It’s been a few years and somehow it has managed to creep back into my life. I never stopped loving it just because I didn’t wear it. Wearing it now makes me feel nostalgic. I am wiser and older hopefully I don’t let it rule my life again. I’ll proceed with caution. But I must confess that wearing pink has never felt so good.

Merry Berry
Elated from my holiday festivities, I wore this Christmas infused look. I had such a great time with my family, reminiscing, eating and being merry. I saw this outfit on Refinery 29. I thought it was so cute. I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t think to create this look on my own. I really like the satin bottom of my dress. It made the overall feel of my outfit festive.

Pastels
Lavender, mint green and sherbet orange are sweet colors to wear this time of year. They make me feel me feel cheerful and counter the dark and dismal colors normally associated with winter. Combining these pretty colors with warm sweaters and heavier fabrics (wool, tweed, and corduroy) will help you successfully create this look. I like pairing them with dark colors like black and gray. This might be a harsh contrast for some but experiment to see what works best for you.

Adventures in Blogging
Hello darlings. I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. It’s amazing how quickly time passes. I definitely tapped into my domestic side by doing laundry and baking all day yesterday. I wore this outfit last night for a casual night out despite the freezing temps. I still dared to wear shorts. I don’t know why but I like the look of shorts in the winter paired with more conservative pieces. I think the key to achieving this look is infusing knits and / or blazers, items that are for the colder weather into your look.

–>>7 Random Things About Me:
I’m very indecisive, love the Twilight Saga ( I get a lot of flak because of this), deathly afraid of mice and heights, love to bake, once ate 6 donuts in one sitting, (not as actively as I should ) pursuing acting and modeling, and I can’t sleep without the TV on.
Purrfection
Initially I felt like Peg Bundy(minus the big hair)when I realized that I was wearing multiple articles of clothing containing cheetah patterns. I quickly got over it when I considered that Peg Bundy wouldn’t wear knee highs or a sleek high ponytail. But I do give her props for fearlessly wearing spandex leggings and for always wearing sky-high peep toes. I can’t talk about Married with Children without mentioning Kelly Bundy. I remember watching that show when I younger and wanting her sexy rocker look or maybe it was more like sexy rocker groupie. Either way I envied her cool style.

It’s Not Easy Being Green
I’m not big on the color green but it seems to be a big factor in this outfit. I like the super long length of these pants. They make me feel lean and make my legs appear endless. Whenever I wear this sweater it makes me think of Christmas and winter. If I’m feeling a little blue it gets me into the holiday spirit in no time. I added this yellow checkered shirt to add color to my look and liven it up a bit.
Hope you all are having a great beginning to your week.

Style Rewind
It’s amazing the way styles repeat themselves. I sent a few of my coworkers down memory lane with this outfit. Some of them recalled wearing similar attire when they were younger and that this was the look that most girls wanted. When I saw this dress in the store, I was drawn to it because of the vintage/ old school vibes it gave me. I threw my hair up in a bun to keep in tune with the style. I added this necklace that I got while in the Bahamas earlier this year. I think it was an unexpected twist that gave my outfit a modern finish.

Life is Better with Shimmer
Lately, I’ve been craving sparkle and shimmer in my wardrobe. Maybe it’s due to the fact that it is the holiday season. So, I’ve been indulging my sparkly side and purchasing things that have a little more flair than I’m used to, like these shoes. I like oxfords because they are classic and comfortable. I like these oxfords because they are bedazzled with gold glitter. I’m not the only one crazy about these shoes. One of my coworkers actually threatened to steal my shoes. It took me back to elementary school when bullies would try to rob you of your goods. The difference now is that I’m an adult, stronger and will take her down if she tries anything funny.

Labeling
Today someone called me a hipster. Really, a hipster? Is is because I’m wearing a vest or because my patterns don’t match? I don’t know how to really define my style. It’s not outrageous or glamorous. Most days, I am just a girl scrambling to find something to wear in the morning. I actually don’t like to define or put a label on my style because it then seems like I am limted and confined to this one way of dressing. Why can’t we all wear what we want without being called out?
