Differences

This is a quick weekend rant. I wore this outfit and got a few stares. I think it was the socks. Even with the stares I still walked with pride. I think sometimes people don’t get my fashion choices but it doesn’t bother me a bit. We all have different ways of expressing ourselves. I just express myself through my attire. Let’s embrace our differences. Be accepting and tolerant of one another!

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Blazers and Stripes

I wanted to achieve a professional appearance but still be able to incorporate my style. I decided to go for this navy blazer. I’m crazy about the fit. I paired it with my boy fit button down shirt for a smart look. I like the combination of  taupe and navy in this skirt and thought it looked becoming with the blazer.  I added the ankle boots and leggings to add warmth to my look. And there you go.

Around Town

Over the weekend there were a few events worth seeing. There was the Boston Book Fair, the Occupy Boston March, and the Boston Food Swap. The Boston Book Fair event is the oldest fair of its kind of antiquarian books. There were a variety of activities during the fair including musical performances. Those who support Occupy Boston showed commitment to their cause by parading the streets of Boston to spread their message. The Boston Food Festival is hosted its October Food Swap at Space With a Soul. At the food swap you can swap your homemade and homegrown creations with other attendees.

While I hit the streets I knew a look of comfort would be key. I think  I hit the mark while still showing my style and individuality.
