Living In Color

As a girl I loved pink. I was obsessed with everything pink. Wearing it gave me such pleasure.  But people began to whisper about us. They were unable to accept what we had. My obsession grew out of control and I had to end my tawdry affair with the color.  It’s been a few years and somehow it has managed to creep back into my life. I never stopped loving it just because I didn’t wear it. Wearing it now makes me feel nostalgic. I am wiser and older hopefully I don’t let it rule my life again. I’ll proceed with caution. But I must confess that wearing pink has never felt so good.

Change is Good

Normally, you can’t pay me to wear red but during this time of year I find the color quite appealing. In fear of looking like an eyesore I coupled the skirt with a neutral colored chunky knit sweater. I love this sweater. I foresee this item in heavy rotation in future get-ups this season. And these boots are so comfortable.  They may not look it but looks are deceiving. I could run in these boots if needed. I had been on the hunt for boots like these and finally snagged a pair. Yay!

Blazers and Stripes

I wanted to achieve a professional appearance but still be able to incorporate my style. I decided to go for this navy blazer. I’m crazy about the fit. I paired it with my boy fit button down shirt for a smart look. I like the combination of  taupe and navy in this skirt and thought it looked becoming with the blazer.  I added the ankle boots and leggings to add warmth to my look. And there you go.

Brunch Anyone?

I love brunch. You’re not restricted to only ordering breakfast items. You can also indulge in heavier more filling foods. I love being able to order waffles or a burger. You can’t forget about the delightful brunch cocktails. Whether you order a Mimosa or Bloody Mary you will be able to satisfy your hankering.

Though I had the urge to throw on blue jeans and t-shirt I chose these black skinnys and charming top. I accessorized to add a little pizzazz to my look. I still was able to maintain a relaxed look without wearing my sweats.
