Armani Anyone?

For a limited time you can receive 40% off full priced holiday accessories at Armani Exchange.

I’ve got my eye on the Velvet Tote Bag. This plush tote is versatile and can be worn with practically anything. You can dress it up or use it as a daily carrier. At $128.00 (plus 40% off) it would be a shame to miss out on this excellent shopper-tunity. I think the belt is super adorable and gives the bag an elegant finish.

Another item I’m pining for is the Rose Gold Chrono Watch. This classic watch will draw attention but isn’t too gaudy. The tone just adds a little glam to your everyday watch. It’s waterproof and has a Chronograph function with date display. I am fond of the men’s style. I don’t care for the dainty watches usually made for women. I want a big and chunky piece of arm candy.

Differences

This is a quick weekend rant. I wore this outfit and got a few stares. I think it was the socks. Even with the stares I still walked with pride. I think sometimes people don’t get my fashion choices but it doesn’t bother me a bit. We all have different ways of expressing ourselves. I just express myself through my attire. Let’s embrace our differences. Be accepting and tolerant of one another!

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Ode to Black and Brown

They say you should never be together and that you are a faux pas. However, to me you are a flawless fit. You create the most tasteful ensembles. How can anyone resist the sultry shades chocolate, caramel and mocha draped in black so richly colored? I praise you for your valor; sticking together through the clamor. As I enjoy the forbidden fruits in life, too. Black and brown long live together

White After Labor Day

There’s something about wearing white in the Fall/ Winter that I love. It looks crisp and elegant. There are a few things to remember before incorporating it into your wardrobe.  Whether cashmere or wool, make sure that you’re wearing white in the right  texture (according to the weather). Also, be sure that you’re not wearing pure white. Go a few shades off white to look appropriate for the season.

Little Red Riding Hood

One of my favorite components of this coat is the massive collar. It serves as a good shield from the wind. The sweater is very warm and the cowl neck also serves as protection from the winter elements. Below, see some of the sweaters on my wish list. Also, learn how you can win a Macy’s gift card.

Collegiate Cool

Today I’m feeling under the weather. It’s the season for runny noses and itchy throats :) . I still managed to pull off a decent outfit. At this time of year folks are heading back to school and back to business from their leisurely summer activities. I think the change in season inspires people to tap into their collegiate side. The great thing about this look is that it’s appropriate for all ages. Blazers, knit sweaters, pleated skirts, loafers, and headbands, all scream collegiate style to me. If your sweaters from last year need a pick me up try replacing the buttons or make patches for your sleeves. I bought denim fabric and made patches for the sleeves and pockets. You can’t really see them in these photos but they really helped revive this old sweater.

A Thing for Denim

I’ve always been a little crazed over denim. I can backtrack through my fashion timeline and identify different trends in denim that I obsessed over. When I was a child I much-loved my paint splashed and cross color dungarees, as a teen I practically lived in my oversized skater denims, and a couple of years later I flipped for the distressed, torn, and worn look. Now I am fanatical over skinnies and trouser jeans. Yesterday I opted for this cute cropped denim jacket. It really pulled my look together. Without it I would’ve looked too casual.

Has anyone else noticed the outrageous prices of jeans? www.denimjeans.com reported that retailers have increased prices to offset the increased cost of cotton. While prices may be hard on our wallets this weekend the Gap has a 40% off Labor Day Sale. This includes denim. www.gap.com
