Forget what you thought you knew because shapewear swimsuits are sizzling. I know we all recall the frumpy one piece suits that pretty much covered up your shape instead of enhancing your assets. These suits will have you not only looking good but feeling good about your body. Insecurities be gone! Now you can walk the sand without any self-doubt.
It was love at first sight when I saw these pants. They are so relaxed and perfect for all day wear. I got a few comments on my outfit being fresh and springlike which is exactly what I was aiming for. It’s nice when you are able to reach your target. Especially on a Monday…It usually takes me until Wednesday before I get anything right.

Last week I had the pleasure of walking the runaway at an event hosted by Smiling Stiletto at California Closets. Styles were provided by Avni. All of Avni’s designs are organic and for the most part handmade. They are also dyed naturally using flowers. The dress and jacket combo I am wearing were colored with marigold. My dress was lightweight, relaxed and perfect for those scorching summer days. I absolutely adored the color as well. I also want to give kudos to Smiling Stiletto for hosting a fantastic event (as usual). You can learn more about the group here.
This Spring look for easy style in a wrap. It works fir all body types from petite to full figure.
I had been dying to wear this cute jacket since I bought it in the winter. I loved the soft peachy color and lace finish.
I paired it with a comfortable pair of chinos and I like to add a little whimsy to my style so I completed the look with leopard wedges.
Gotta love whimsy. It’s such a fun word to say!
An Evening with Nanette Lepore
On Wednesday night I had the pleasure of attending an event at the Nanette Lepore boutique on the forever trendy Newbury Street. As I began walking toward the store I could hear fab tunes cranking from the boutique. I was in amazement of all the gorgeous garments. The colors and prints were spectacular. I wish I could have one of EVERYTHING there. There were so many goodies to nibble on. My fave was the tazo truffles. There were also delicious drinks courtesy of Kahlua. Makeup and hairstylist were on hand beautifying attendees from the Mario Russo salon. Not to mention my friends and I had a brief encounter with Ms. Lepore. It took everything in me to not shriek in excitement. Overall it was a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday night.
I’ve noticed all the exciting nail art I’ve seen ladies wearing these days and it makes me shake my head when I look down at my mine. Whether it be the lack of time or laziness that has led me to neglect primping my paws I have realized that I need to step up my nail game. Here are some nail art trends that are inspiring me to clean up my act.
Caviar Nail Art – Refinery 29
Ombré Nail Art – Glamour
Puzzle Nail Art – The Examiner
This is right up my alley. I have actually tried these and they work pretty well. Just be sure to use a good top coat to protect the design. Removing the polish was a bit of a challenge but I guess that it a testament of its staying power.
